About
This is a re-publication of this intermediate course about Francisco Goya offered through the OpenLearn OER site.
This particular site is a blog instance on a WordPress Multi-User installation, and I used WP-o-Matic (a spam plugin) to republish the feed from the OpenLearn OER course as a series of blog posts. The idea of doing this was finally made apparent to me through a comment by Tony Hirst on this post about re-publishing open educational resources.
The import of this course feed was pretty successful, five of the seven units came in beautifully with images and videos intact. However, the introduction post and the background post did not, so I will be testing a few more classes to see if I can streamline the process. Overall, I am extremely excited about this development, and will be blogging it more soon. Just wanted to give a little context in the About page and trackback to Tony Hirst and thank him for the push to try it, and more importantly all the unbelievable work he is doing with The Open University.
